Youngstown Environmental Sustainability Society
Who We Are
The Youngstown Environmental Sustainability Society (YESS) was created in the early 2000’s. However, it really took off in 2005 under the direction of our faculty adviser Dr. Felicia Armstrong. Since 2018, we have been gaining momentum on campus and in the local area. We currently have 23 wonderful students who volunteer their time with us. Our group is composed mostly of students in the Environmental Studies major at YSU. However, we also have members from the business college, engineering, biology, and others. We encourage anyone who wants to make a difference at YSU to reach out and get involved. We always need helping hands for our projects throughout each school year!
