Youngstown Environmental Sustainability Society​
Who We Are
The Youngstown Environmental Sustainability Society (YESS) was created in the early 2000’s. However, it really took off in 2005 under the direction of our faculty adviser Dr. Felicia Armstrong. Since 2018, we have been gaining momentum on campus and in the local area. Our group is composed mostly of students in the Environmental Studies major at YSU, however we are always looking for new members from any major or discipline. We encourage anyone who wants to make a difference at YSU to reach out and get involved. We always need helping hands for our projects throughout each school year, and we would love to have you on our fun adventures!

Brittain Bosela is the current president of YESS. She is a senior majoring in Environmental Science and will be graduating in Spring 2026!

Ava Young is the current vice president of YESS.

Brendan Leecue is the current secretary and greenhouse manager of YESS.
Treasurer
Cameron Currie is the current treasurer of YESS.
Public Relations/ Social Media Manager
Lacey Phillis is the current public relations and social media manager of YESS. She is a senior majoring in Environmental Science and she will be graduating Fall 2025!
